I enjoyed The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but that was ages ago. I wonder if DA and I have just grown apart. I enjoyed the story but for too long not a lot happened and then suddenly in the space of 3 pages all the stories that had been written about with no hint of how they connected ended. ' while still very good, it wasn't as good as I remember. ' Lesser known book by the humorous sci-fi great, but to me, one of his best. this serves as a strange but apt bookend to 'American Gods', since they share themes. having read this three times, there are still moments that reduce me to helpless laughter. ' one of the funniest books i've ever read. ' Not the usual quality from my favourite author. ' British sci-fi mystery with Norse gods. Dirk Gently + penguins + Thor + Odin must almost certainly equal zany and good. ' So I haven't actually finished this yet but I am very very close to done and it's fabulous. I'm delighted to find this book still awesome and hilarious-it was such a fave in junior high. he makes sherlock holmes look like a schmuck. ' man, i wish douglas adams had written more dirk gently books.

' Crazy book that is sometimes hard to follow but if yo really enjoyed Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy you will like this. There are some fun ideas at the end but the book ends before they get a chance to be explored. Explanation at end happens too fast and seem rushed, and without any sort of interest or comedy.
